Is Family not a blessing of God?
Family is the precious creation of God after His creation of the world. It is the incomparable fortune, which the humankind gets to possess the status of highest social being. Love, trust, communication, being together, sharing, understanding, listening, caring and space means the most profound and valuable institution with a simple and humble title FAMILY.
Family values are deservedly praised. A well – functioning family is a microcosm of society, as it should work. Unfortunately, the contemporary habits of socialization and work have surely misled the attitudes towards living by a harmonious family relationship. The crucial reason behind such a formal family relationship is the lack of emotional assistance among the family members.
“Loneliness and the feeling of being unwanted is the most terrible poverty,” says Blessed Mother Teresa. As Mother said, a child who does not have a family for love and care is the most appalling poverty, which a nation faces. The pain of an orphan cannot be described in words. A void of terrible loneliness haunts the children who happen to be like orphan when parents are alive. Parents going after materialistic comfort forget that their children are precious treasures of love and care than luxuries, and vagaries of life.
There lays a big responsibility on each individual of a family  to  maintain the family bonding in spite of the obstacles and  outer forces that influence him/her to break such a family bonding, heaven’s gift. Another reason for the breach is greed for money wherein a member leaves behind all the family values for achieving materialistic dreams. Moreover, family members are prone to disintegrate very often as and when they become self-independent. Disintegration is not a problem, but lack of family oneness is surely a threatening problem to humankind.
Having a lifelong commitment for living by a sense of trust and honor with other family members; open and honest communication about important matters such as financial planning, how to spend free time, what sort of social ties to emphasize; practicing mutual love – an abiding, deep warmth and affection towards other family members. A love that smiles at each other’s imperfections, not scorns them, a love that is eager to serve; are the primary concerns, which are worth mentioning to bring families together.
Family can never be judgemental.
Family is the one who never laugh at the weakness of its members.
Family is the only place where one gets love and respect.
Having a place to go is a home.
Having someone to love is a family.
Having both is a blessing.
Definitely, Family is a blessing of God!
